UNHINGED SKILLS

The names are bait. Underneath each one is a real workflow I lean on inside Claude Code. Twenty-five of them. The first five get the full breakdown with a picture each. The other twenty are the rapid-fire arsenal: speed modes, scrappy fixes, focus states, and cost hacks. Steal the ones that fit how you work.

CHINESE GRANDPA

Type /chinese-grandpa and it translates your prompt into Mandarin before it reaches your sub-agents. Same instructions, fewer tokens, because Mandarin carries more meaning per character. Long briefs compress hard, so big agent runs get cheaper and faster without losing the original intent.

Use it when you are pushing long, repeated instructions to a fleet of sub-agents and the token bill keeps climbing.

WEAPONIZED AUTISM

Type /weaponized-autism and Claude turns into an obsessive detail machine. It reads every file, checks every edge case, questions every assumption, and chases every dependency before it answers. Slower on purpose, and far harder to fool.

Use it when you are debugging, auditing, or researching and a confident-but-wrong answer would cost you.

METH LAB

Type /meth-lab and Claude becomes a workflow optimizer. Hand it a messy system, a bloated prompt, a broken automation, or a slow process, and it strips the thing down to the fastest, cheapest, cleanest version that still works.

Use it when something technically runs but feels heavy, expensive, or held together with tape.

DIVORCED DAD

Type /divorced-dad and Claude stops gold-plating. It builds the simplest functional version first, skips the overengineering, and ships something you can use today. Working beats perfect, and perfect was never shipping anyway.

Use it when you do not need pretty, you need it live by tonight.

REDNECK ENGINEER

Type /redneck-engineer and Claude turns a vague idea into a clear build plan. You get a short PRD, a task list, user flows, constraints, and acceptance criteria, so Claude Code knows exactly what to build instead of guessing its way there.

Use it when you know what you want in your head but Claude keeps building the wrong thing.

SHIP IT ANYWAY

Scrappy execution. When you need a working thing, not a pretty one.

/duct-tape-dev ships the quick patch that unblocks you now and flags it clearly as debt to revisit later.

/gas-station-genius solves it with whatever is already in the repo. No new libraries, no installs, a fix from the parts on hand.

/macgyver improvises from primitives. Standard library and cleverness instead of reaching for a new framework.

/apollo-13 works a critical failure under hard constraints. Limited options, no clean fix, get the broken thing home with what you have.

/cowboy-coder makes the judgment calls itself and keeps moving instead of pausing at every fork. Fast and opinionated, best on low-stakes work.

/questionable-engineering picks the solution that works over the one that is technically correct. Pragmatic, slightly cursed, perfect for prototypes.

/goblin-mode gets it working ugly first. No naming debates, no structure until the structure earns its place.

FULL SEND

Speed, chaos, and endurance. For when the clock is the only constraint that matters.

/speedrun finds the shortest path to done and takes it. No detours, no nice-to-haves.

/autopilot-chaos takes the whole task and runs it end to end without stopping to ask. You review at the finish line.

/rage-compile attacks the error list in one pass. Fix, rebuild, repeat, no commentary, until it builds clean.

/panic-mode triages a live incident. Stop the bleeding first, smallest safe fix next, post-mortem once it is stable.

/zero-sleep settles in for the long haul and holds the thread across a big multi-step build without losing the plot.

/sleep-deprived-founder cuts the backlog to the one or two things that actually move the needle and ignores the rest.

/crackhead-energy fires out ideas at full speed. Twenty rough directions in a minute, you cherry-pick the good ones after.

/caffeine-overdose goes wide and exhaustive. Every option, every edge, every step spelled out. The opposite of the compressor.

FERAL FOCUS

Heads-down modes, deep digs, and a couple of cost hacks.

/feral-goblin drops the small talk and goes heads-down. No preamble, just code and short status lines until it is done.

/keyboard-gremlin makes the smallest possible change. Surgical edits, minimal diff, nothing touched that did not need it.

/basement-hacker goes underground. Reverse-engineers the internals, reads the source nobody reads, and explains how it actually works.

/schizotech connects the dots nobody asked it to. Wild, lateral architecture ideas that link things you would never pair on purpose. Filter heavily.

/tax-fraud hunts cost everywhere. Trims tokens, kills redundant calls, reports the cheapest way to the same result. Aggressive optimization, technically legal.
